What was the cause about?

Through our program “The Path to a More Inclusive World,” the Europamundo team offers 5 scholarships to immerse in a fascinating solidarity trip to India, organized by our partner organization Tumaini and funded by the Europamundo Foundation. The purpose: to experience the journey through the lens of responsible tourism and to build bridges of solidarity, learning, and respect between cultures.

Route and Experiences

Delhi:
The Indian capital welcomed us with its colors, sounds, and aromas: a city where ancient history blends with modernity. We admired legendary monuments like the imposing India Gate, the vibrant Jama Masjid mosque, and the chaotic Chandni Chowk bazaar. Delhi is a parallel universe where every corner tells a story of resilience and renewal.

Rajasthan:
Next, the route took us to the land of maharajas, palaces, and deserts. Rajasthan is synonymous with ancient traditions and timeless celebrations. We engaged with local projects working for sustainability and social justice, learning from communities that, amid the architectural splendor of cities like Jaipur and Jodhpur, strive for a future of equality and dignity for all.

Dharamsala:
In the final stage, the Himalayas welcomed us in Dharamsala, the spiritual heart of the Tibetan exile community and home of the Dalai Lama. There, we collaborated with Tibet World and other organizations empowering Tibetan refugees through education and cultural exchange, leaving a mark of hope and brotherhood.
